Manila Chamber Orchestra Foundation opens its 2016 Seasonwith the performance of the multi-awarded young pianist Anne Marie Caldoza
The Manila Chamber Orchestra Foundation takes great pride in presenting the professional debut of a multi-awarded pianist Anne Marie Caldoza in MCOF’s “Tribute to Masters and Prodigies” on June 22, 2016 at the Ayala Museum at 7 p.m. She is a graduate from the prestigious Longy School of Music of Bard College in Cambridge, Massachusett. She will be performing the music of Beethoven, Shapir, Handel and Rachmaninoff.
Anne Marie Alzate Caldoza, also known as Macky, started her piano studies at age of 12 with renowned soloist and assisting artist, Najib Ismail at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music. In her course of her studies, she participated and won in several competitions including the National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA), in the Asia International Piano Academy and Festival in Korea; the University of Santo Tomas Chopin Competition, the Piano Teachers' Guild of the Philippines (PTGP) Bach Competition, the PTGP Mozart Competition, and PTGP Haydn Competition.
After graduating Cum Laude last March 2013, she continued to pursue her masteral in Piano Performance at the Longy School of Music, and studied with the Dean of the Conservatory, Wayman Chin. In Longy, she was an active participant in the Longy Student Association and was the co-president in her second year. She will be returning to pursue her Graduate Performance Diploma to further her artistry and musical knowledge this coming fall.
The Manila Chamber Orchestra Foundation, a non-stock, non-profit organization, is dedicated to the promotion of classical cultural arts specifically, classical music. Established in 1985, it is duly registered with SEC and BIR and has been governed by an esteemed Board of Trustees. The Foundation has presented more than 1,000 performances geared towards artists and audience development. Throughout the years, the MCOF has remained faithful to its mission, active in the cultural scene. Hence, it has earned the high esteem and regard of the art-loving community and has been hailed as “Makati’s Cultural Oasis."
The MCOF program for young artists is long-standing program of the MCOF that provides performance opportunities for young, and budding artists to give them the exposure, experience and endorsement to help them show their talents to the public, and help them carve a name in the field of classical music. Many of the artists MCOF has featured have won music scholarships, competitions, and are doing well in their careers.
