30th showbiz anniversary concert ni Lea Salonga na Lea, My Life…On Stage! na napanood namin ang unang gabi nu’ng Biyernes sa PICC Plenary Hall.
Ang ganda-ganda ng anniversary concert ni Lea na selebrasyon ng kanyang matagumpay na 30 taon sa show business.
Very funny ang opening song niyang It’s in the Genes, na segue sa kanyang theater beginnings nu’ng bata pa siya.
Teary-eyed kami nang awitin niya ang I Am But A Small Voice at Rainbow Connection na paborito naming kantahin nu’ng paslit pa kami, at na-touch kami nang kantahin niya ang If You’re Not Here ng Menudo.
Hindi nakaligtaang pasalamatan ni Lea si Kuya Germs (na nasa audience) doon sa part ng kabataan niya na naging miyembro siya ng That’s Entertainment.
Ang galing ng pagkakakuwento ni Lea sa mahahalagang bahagi ng buhay niya na meron siyang nina-narrate at merong kinakanta.

Cinderella’s is, as one Disney film says, a tale as old as time.
If there is anything that one can quibble about it is that after all that, Cinderella’s ballgown is less than impressive or flattering. And during the performance we saw, the timing was just a bit off in Act One, but by Act Two it was spot on. Certainly a problem that will straighten itself out as the show continues its run — it will be showing at the CCP until Aug. 24
